TRAVERTINO

Calcareous rock of chemical deposit, formed by precipitation from calcium carbonate waters near springs, waterfalls or at the bottom of basins fed by these waters. It is characterized by a porous structure and is widely used as a building and coating material for resistance to meteoric agents.
